I'm having quite a strange problem with my new wireless network and I
would appreciate any advise or help getting it to work correctly.
I have setup a wireless ad hoc network and I have set it up to share my
dialup internet connection (unfortunately I do not have access to cable
or dsl in this area).
When I load Internet Explorer I can only receive webpages from Google.
When I load Yahoo for example it just sits on the "Connecting to
http://www.yahoo.com.au" status.
Upon closer inspection I seem to be able to ping (and resolve)
addresses to domain names:
Pinging au.rc.yahoo.com [202.3.14.164] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 202.3.14.164: bytes=32 time=153ms TTL=54
Reply from 202.3.14.164: bytes=32 time=135ms TTL=54
Reply from 202.3.14.164: bytes=32 time=133ms TTL=54
Reply from 202.3.14.164: bytes=32 time=126ms TTL=54
Ping statistics for 202.3.14.164:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 126ms, Maximum = 153ms, Average = 136ms
So basically I can resolve addresses, I just can't seem to be able to
receive any data from it.
Any help would be excellent.
