[DECset V12.5] Current LSE/SCA version ?

  • Follow

Now a (rhetorical) question:

In previous occurences I found every time the version of LSE (Language
Sensitive Editor) and SCA (Source Code Analyzer) identical. Even this
time, SPL lists both as one item with UPI 057AA and version V4.8 (which
is contained in DECset V12.5).

I did install DECset (months ago) and found that LSE is V4.8 and SCA is V4.7
Now, is there a SCA V4.8 ?

For a long time, Fortran and VMS had the same version numbes, but I
believe that has changed now.

If they are/were not sold under the same UPI, this is not exactly the same ;-)

DECset 12.5 was a maintenance release and there were changes to LSE so
the LSE kit was rebuilt which accounts for the updated version number.
SCA was not changed so the V4.7 kit was put into the DECset kit and the
individual kit was not rebuilt so the version number was not incremented.
