Alpha hardware - (Free, Gratis and for Nothing)
After moving from our old alpha's to new Itanium blades, I now
have our old Production and Alpha boxes to give away.
I have 3 x ES40's and 2 DS20's available FREE, to anyone who is
prepared to turn up and take them away.
Some he systems are racked and can be taken away like that. The
other system are unracked and also unboxed. We are not in a
position to pack them for shipping, (which is why pickup is a
requirement) I cant testify as to what is installed in them, Re
CPU's, Memory or NICs, however some at least, were our production
machines, and it would probably be OK to cannibalize 1 or 2 to make
2-3 complete (if necessary).
There are no licenses for these systems, however it could be a god-
send for any budding hobbyist looking for a starter, or maybe just for
spare parts.
