This came up in the side bar when I was reading one of VAXman's posts on

Vivarium Management (VMS) A better way to manage your Lab Animal
Facility. http://www.XigmaWorks.com/
MW defines "vivarium" as "a terrarium used especially for small
animals".

But the product is OpenVMS. It's looking like HP has Open-ed the
VMS and let all of the animals (engineers) out of the lab (ZKO).

It think it is notable that this is still better treatment then what
they gave MPE. MPE was just plain shut off.
For a couple of decades Gartner has tried and failed to kill off
VMS. Now HP has tried and gave up, they had to relocate it instead
of killing it.
No, this is not particularly good. But it is still refusing to die.

It reminds me of the famous "Hamster Theory" description of how RSX works.
Best description of what goes on in the RSX kernel I've ever seen...
