Why not?  I always use ZIP/VMS, no problem unzipping on other
platforms, such W2K or Unix.   But Larry's commands are certainly
more universal amongst VMS platforms. 

Actually, I think ZIP should be shipped with VMS.  Backporting
should be almost automatic.
