ServerWorks
Does anybody remember this? I have media and/or documentation. Version
unknown!
My wife wants the space to store something else!
You can pick it up or pay the shipping. If you ask nicely, I might even
go down to the basement and see exactly what I've got.

google searches suggest it some type of server monitoring software
(similar to OpenView?)

Yes, I have a copy here somewhere. I used to use it when we still ran
VMS here in the department and it was pretty good. Might make a nice
addition to a Hobbyist System especially as we tend to run more than
one machine. Maybe someone still at HP could look into the posibility
of getting this released as Freeware as I don't think it still is or
has been a supported product for quite some time.

I have two copies, salvaged from the trash about ten years ago. One is
still in 'shrink wrap'.

It is a SNMP based monitoring software for DEC servers [VMS and DECunix]
and network equipment. About like OpenView or NetView (anybody remember
this?). It supported wintel stuff as well.
The support for it was ended during the compaq era. I think it was about
the time when Compaq's (almost) similar product was out.
If I ask nicely, would you check the version? :)
Maybe it is the latest version (4.2 IIRC)?

It appears to be V2.2. Also in the package: "Power Management for
Digital Alpha Systems", and "BMC Patrol Agents and Patrol View for
Digital ManageWORKS".

I've thrown lots of those over the years as they used to turn up with
every server.
It's simple to setup. Current software would be hp SIM (free
download) - which is not so simple and is the framework for lots of
stuff.
