When I got my alpha at VMS 8.3, I was forced to upgrade my vaxes from 7.2-1
Ever since this, the OSU web server has exhibited problems (it just stops
responding to requests after a random number of days). It was recompiled
under 7.3 as a first step when the problem first appeared. In the past, the
OSU web server would run without problems for months and months and months.
I have installed many patches to 7.3, however none of them seemed to have
any relevance to thread issues.
Are there known issues with 7.3 VAX and threads ?
The feeling I get os that 7.3 is like 6.0 and 7.2-1 was like the rock solid
Is there some list of "current" versions for various shareable images for
VAX 7.3 that I could check against to see if there was any files that were
not properly upgraded ? (such as CRTL and the threading libraries).
I was given a few hints on how to turn on various debugging for the OSU
software, but I would still need to eventually solve whatever problem on
VMS popped up on 7.3 that wasn't present on 7.2. (or that the 7.2 to 7.3
upgrade screwed up and forgot to upgrade).
