VMS Audio Update Episode 4
http://www.openvms.org/stories.php?story=07/01/31/6109727

In this our fourth episode, we'll cover some of the latest news highlights,
get tech tips from Bruce Ellis and Steve Lieman and a story from Colin
Butcher.

Please remember, we need your feedback! Obviously we're doing this for the
community; we're doing it for OpenVMS; we're doing it to help the cause;
plus it's fun. We need to know what you guys think. It would be great if
you made an audio recording (.mp3) of your question, suggestion, comment or
compliment. Steve "Hoff" Hoffman and Colin Butcher would love to answer
your technical questions. Actually, any of the guys would love to do the
same so send away. Use the feedback form if you need help on recording,
http://www.openvms.org/feedback or to leave any comments, etc.

We can't do much about the file format, mp3. It's the least common
denominator, that's why it's used for podcasting

- Are you willing to send us stories/experiences via email for us to read?
They can be anonymous if you choose.

- Is the file size too big at 20+/-MB?

- Is the sound quality good? Remember we have to balance quality with size.

- Do you like the format/layout:
  + commentary by Marty
  + background/transitional music
  + news items
  + tech tips
  + features

- Is the frequency good? Getting them out more often would be extremely
difficult.

- Do you want more content in each episode?

- What subjects would you like to hear and by whom?

- Are you willing to record a session for VMS Audio Update (VAU)?

- Are you willing to start a series of podcast tutorials for the VMS Podcast
Network (VPN)?
+ Maybe a series for beginners.
+ A series for management level and above.

- Do you have something you can share with the community, something like war
stories or some other interesting experience?

- Do you have suggestions about how we can use the podcast to get new
customers into the fold?
+ Maybe a new series that covers the pros of our favorite OS.
+ Real life stories that CEOs/CIOs/CTOs wouldn't hear from the mainstream
press.

- Are you willing to donate via Paypal to assist with expenses? Is it worth
that much to you?

- Would anyone be interested in being recorded at the Bootcamp.

- What would you like us to record at the Bootcamp and HPTF?

Professional recording experience is not required. Just a willingness
to have a go and a desire to contribute something.

Please please do not overload the meaning of well-known acronyms like that.
VPN is a Virtual Private Network.
