I guess it's something to aspire to, having his own island, but let me ask you this, is he *really* happy?

Not that I know what it's like to be happy but I imagine piloting one's own
airforce around your own Hawain island goes some way to filling the void
happiness left behind.
Actually, not that I know or have read much about Larry, I imagine he gets a
much greater buzz about grinding HP into the dirt after they sacked his
buddy Hurd, or seeing Digital disappear along with VMS and withering Rdb
(once seen as competition) on the vine :-(
Overdeveloped sense of vengence?

I guess we'll know Elison will have achieved this when we see a picture
of him bald and when he presents his "Mini Me", a miniature clone of
himself.
Instead of hiring Robert Wagner as his #2, he hired Mark Hurd :-)
(Had you not said "world domination", I would have been thinking of the
original Spectre version, but when you added "world domination", I
thought immediatly of Dr Evil)
And yes, I think Ellison is happy. He plays with businesses like toys.
He has enough power that he can use companies the size of HP as a toy
and litterally toy with them.
But in a way, he is a bit like a bully because he picks on weak
companies like HP who have been without a real leader for a long time.
(This may have changed with Whitman, but only time will tell).

Why is it that certain photos of Ellison remind me of Iron Man/Tony
Stark (Robert Downey)?
