RTP has been deleted due to signal 11

Hello,

I'm trying to run an RTP with a shared library. My RTP code is very simple.=
Using a simulator with the SIMPENTIUMgnu compiler, it's working. Then I tr=
ied to run the RTP on my target (ARMARCH7gnu). This time, it's not working:=
=20

-> [06/09/12 - 10:16:52:896] 0x8ad010 (i_ICS_AP_RTP): RTP 0x8a13d8 has been=
 [06/09/12 - 10:22:51:829] deleted due to signal 11.

It's launching the RTP and displaying my printf, then inside one function l=
ocated into a shared library, it's crashing. But this function is really si=
mple, and it works when everything is in Kernel mode or with a simulator. I=
don't know what is different with my target.=20

Does sb have any clues ?

Julien.

How to debug signal 11 in RTP process
I know in Linux, when a process is killed by sigterm, a core dump will be created. It's very easy to debug where the crash is from. In VxWorks 6.3, is there anything similar to this? If not, is there any way to debug a RTP process? I need to know where the crash is at in a RTP process. Set your board in "lab" mode (boot flag 0x400) and the RTP will stay in memory after the problem occurs. Then you can attach the target shell ('rtp attach' command with the shell in command mode, i.e. with the "[vxWorks *]#" prompt. If you see the "->" prompt typ...

send signal to a RTP under vxWorks 6.2
Hi I'm trying to send a posix signal from a RTP to an RTP. Unfortunately sigqueue failed and the errno says that the process doesn't exist. I get the id of the RTPs with 'getpid' function. I try with kill and sigqueue too but it doesn't work. Is there a bug or is it the wring method to send a signal ? ~M~ Hi, Can you send me your source? Deleting aliases from the toolbar (OS 10.4.11)
There must be an easy way to do this, but I haven't found it. A long time ago I accidentally installed an alias to a particular folder in the toolbar at the top of the Finder window. I haven't found anywhere to remove it: it can't be dragged to the trash, pressing the delete key doesn't do it, and I can'r find anything in either System or Finder preferences. The other day I thought it might go away if I trashed the folder that it refers to, so now it displays a big question mark instead of a folder icon, and if I click on that it says "The item cannot be found&...

Unpredictable signal 11 crashes on Mac OS X
--Apple-Mail-8--746934721 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed Hi, We've been having a lot of problems with unpredicatable crashes with 7.3.4 on OS X Server (10.2.6 and 10.2.8 exhibit the same behaviour). Having run with verbose logging for some time, we have not noticed any real consistency in the types of queries which are causing the crash recently. A few weeks ago we were noticing crashes most commonly when processing queries with extremely large IN () lists (> 1000 entries) but we have now removed most of ...

signal delivery in HP-UX 11.11
Hi, I am Ravi Nandibhatla from India. I am trying to send a SIGTSTP signal to the process. But this is always getting handled by the thread instead of the process as a whole. The same program when tried on Solaris machine (with minor changes in functions), I could get the program suspended. Please let me know 1) why is this difference between HP-UX & Solaris ? 2) Which one of HP-UX & Solaris, is fully POSIX compliant while talking about POSIX threads ? Below is the sample program I wrote. /* ============== cut here ===================== */ #include <signal.h> #include <p...

delete and delete []
I understand that if you allocate an array using new as follows object * b = new object[n]; then you must free the object as follows: delete [] b; however if you are allocating a char buffer as follows: char * b = new char [n]; then isn't it irrelavant if you use delete b or delete [] b ? (Then only thing I can think of is that if you change the object type from char to some other object then you might have some issues...) ttrace() and delayed signal delivery on HP-UX 11.11 64-bit
Hi All. We have an application here on HP-UX, which uses the ttrace() system call to attach to all running processes with the exception of itself. It works just fine on 11.00 32/64 bit, and on 11.11 32 bit. On 11.11 64-bit, however, signal delivery within the application is delayed, sometimes by hours, and once it took a week (!!). This is built on a 32-bit 11.11 system, and runs on 64-bit 11.11 box. Same scheme works just fine for 11.00 systems. Any ideas? Is there any other place I can post this to get more information? Thanks. The following is the response from the ttrace folks: ...

Help needed for Sun Solaris 7/11/99 OS full harddisk image backup under Windows OS
Hello, We have been trying hard for taking full harddisk image backup that contains Solaris 7/11/99 OS and programs. What we need is an image backup program that runs under Windows OS and can recognize ufs filesystem. Programs we had tried : * Symantec Norton Ghost 2003 * Powerquest DriveImage * Acronis True Image , MigrateEasy * Knoppix OS (but it mounts hard-drives as read-only) Is there a utility in Windows that can do this job easily or do we have to do the backup using Solaris utilities...
