Read a message a couple days ago about HP printers, mentioned "resetting ink levels in cartridges." How does one reset the ink levels after refilling???? I never heard of that before this. Hi, I own a HP cp1700 (lovely printer) and I think about refilling the cartridges. But there is a smartchip in the cartridge which might cause some trouble. In the sparse information I could find, I read that it won't print after a certain date. There seems to be no way to reset the chip. That means that the printer knows the actual date? If so, how? hey, i got a HP PSC 500, it's a printer combined with scanner. i now got the problem that after refilling the ink cartridges, the printer reports the error "no cartidge found. install a colour-cartridge." i read about the trick to cover the contacts on tha back - tryed that, but same situation. meanwhile i am not sure anymore if it's really that problem with wrong filling status - resetting it ... anyone got similar problems? i would be great if someone could help me find out what's the problem there. sorry for the poor spelling, it's late and i am not really sure...

Buying a new printer, I want to be able to refill the cartridges. Currently using a Canon S520, which has 4 easily refilled tanks. Any advice from experienced refiller? Refilled or non-HP ink cartridges
Anyone got a Photosmart B109a-m and used non-genuine HP cartridges or refilled ones without any severe problems? They are so much cheaper. I have heard that some do not register the correct levels in the printer software but I am not so concerned with this *unless it triggers the software to stop the printing*. It would be lovely, btw, if they could make printers and software that just printed and the operator simply stopped when it was clear *on the pages* that the ink was too out to continue. Ink for refilling Canon printer cartridges
About 3-4 years ago I found out you can refill printer cartridges and found a Canadian company that sold refill kits & ink. I bought a pint bottle and am just now running out, but it's been so long I have lost their contact info. The labels and instruction sheets don't have their name or number. Since I've had such good luck with their ink, I'd like to buy from them again before trying out another company. Anybody recognize this company?
