This page describes a problem with 1394 SBP2 devices on Win 2K/XP:
http://www.bustrace.com/products/delayedwrite.htm
I doubt this is a Windows bug, as writes over 128KB are causing the 1394 bridge
to crash. I don't have a 1394 enclosure so I can't test anything.
In Windows, ahci1394/1394bus.sys is the controller driver, and sbp2port.sys is
the SBP2 driver for storage devices. I added the latter with Add New Hardware
(other/IEEE), but I don't know if it installed right. Winobj shows nothing
under \Device\Sbp2, and SCSI Mechanic shows no adapter. See also:

On SCSI, you have the adapter's MaxSG... parameter, but sbp2port does not.
However, it does have MaxTransferSize. I have no idea were you put this in the
registry, but you should be able to limit the transfer size to 128KB.
Anyone with a 1394 drive who can run SCSI Mechanic and see what MaxTransferSize
is?
