M4 9914 #2

Hi
Reading from my 9914 is extremely slow. After READ is displayed, I get Ex
Sense and Spc Rev.
The documentation does not seem to enlighten me.
Any idea?

You're probably reading the tape in variable block mode.. Asking for record size larger
than what's on tape. Thus the Ex Sense message is to inform you the actual number of
bytes in the record.

SCSI 3 / SCSI 2
Hi, I'm a newbie about SCSI controllers and hard drives but I haven't found any answer in the newsgroups and over the net. I've got a SCSI-3 hard drive with a 68pin connector and a controller card with a 50pin connector, so I think that it is a SCSI-2 controller card. My question is: Can I connect my SCSI-3 Hard drive on my controller card using a 50/68 ping transceiver ? 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 or pow(2, 4)?
Hi , I hope this isn't too trivial to ask, but I'm evaluating a polynomial that involve lots of terms like x^2y^2z^3, and although I can use the power function pow(a, b), I wonder if just writing x*x*y*y*z*z*z for example wouldn't be more efficient than pow(x, 2)*pow(y, 2)*pow(z,3). Or is it all the same? SCSI 2 / Wide SCSI adaptor
Hi all, I know that I'll sound like a moron, and I think that I know the answer, but I prefer to ask before risking damagin anything. I've a Blizzard PPC 603e+, with a SCSI 2 interface, that, if I remember correctly (I haven't counted!) is 50 pins. "Moderm" SCSI hard disks are either Wide SCSI (68 pins) or some nasty Ultra Wide SCSI that have 80 pins. I do know that there're some adaptors out there, for example to connect a 68 pins drive to a 50 pins controller. Is OK to use one of those adaptors with the Blizzard? PS/2 70 and SCSI-2 Adapter /A
Hi! I have a PS/2 70 that I would like to setup to run OS/2 1.3. The problem is the HDD is dead (the WD387). I tried using a DBA drive from the 55SX, but it didn't work. I have the SCSI-2 Adapter /A. Will the power connector work after I solder a Molex connector to it? Will it be possible to boot the PS/2 70 from a HDD attached to this controller? piotrek piotrek glizniewicz schrieb: > Hi! > I have a PS/2 70 that I would like to setup to run OS/2 1.3. SCSI problems kernel-2.6.2
I have a Tekram DC-290U2W scsi card and am trying to get it to work with kernel-2.6.x, but no luck. In kernel-2.4.18 i use the sym53c8xx driver and it works great, but in kernel-2.6.x there is no such driver, it has been switched to sym53c8xx_2 which is suppose to be compatable with my scsi card chipset but I can not mount a partiton on my scsi hd in 2.6.x. Could someone please shed some light on this for me, I am going crazy trying to figure it out. Using SCSI-2 and UW SCSI Together on 43p140
Hello All, I just recently purchased a 43p - 140 with a 4.5 gig Seagate ST34572W hard drive (68 pin). I purchased the 4 mm 4/8 gig internal IBM Exabyte tape drive (50 pin), and a 2nd identical drive (68 pin). I am unable to get the box to boot when I connect both 68 and 50 pin SCSI bus. I've been researching manuals; so far I have not found a successful config. Is there a way to use both SCSI chains at the same time? Thank you in advance for your advice. how to do this? #2 #2
Hi, I am working on a program which can do numerical evaluations for integrations. The program I have is like this, double foo(p1, p2) double p1, p2; { double kk,step; int ii; step_sz=(p2-p1)/100.; kk=0.; for (ii=0;ii<100;ii++) kk+=sin(p1+ii*step_sz)*step_sz; return (kk); } This program used the basic Newton method. My question is here in my program foo, I can only calculate the integrations for a sine function. If I want to do an integration for a cosine function, I need to rewrite another function foo1 with cosine being inserted in. I am sure there is a neat way to do this wit...

2 + 2 =
2 + 2 = 4. Period. The above was posted as a test. I am seeing if people in csma will start to debate the accuracy of my claims. After all, in base 3, there is no symbol "4". I am sure others can come up with ways to show I am wrong. Then, when I explain how 2 + 2 really is equal to 4, even in other bases or whatever other silliness is presented, I will be told that I am changing my claim. Someone will even go so far as to say that since I admit there is no "4" in base 3, that my argument has been refuted, and I should no longer state that 2 + 2 = 4. This has only been a test.
