I was using Ghost 2003 to do a disk-to-disk copy from an IDE drive to a SCSI
drive. The destination SCSI drive is a Seagate Cheetah 15k.3 68-pin 18.4GB,
connected to the controller using an Ultra320 cable with termination, and is
the only target on the SCSI bus. As soon as Ghost started writing to the
SCSI drive, it gave an error "Write sector failure, result=1, drive=1,
sectors 62 to 63, Application Error 29005".
I had updated the SCSI controller firmware to 1003 recently. I seem to
recall that this controller worked fine with Ghost when I was using the
previous firmware.
I then switched to using an LSI U160 controller with the same SCSI drive and
everything worked fine. So I believe it's an issue with the SCSI
controller, not the SCSI drive.
Has anyone used the LSI 21320 controller with Ghost? Anyone had problem
with the latest firmware 1003?
Thanks,
Dave
