It's nice to see the forum will be conducted by someone with a good logical 
mind.  :-(

People who use usenet today do this deliberately, not because they are
unaware of the alternatives. Forum communication, in my opinion, is
inferior to usenet in just about every way, so I'll use this medium
whenever possible. (Can't completely avoid web forums for support and
such). I've never been fond of web forums, actually ... CompuServe's
forums, the old BBS boards (the ones that had offline support), newsgroups
all seem(ed) better for textual communication than web forums.

I can't think of even one advantage that web forums have over newsgroups,
actually. (For the user, not the operator.)
