Problem with a JAVA program launched in a PHP program
Hello, I wrote a JAVA program which uses the JAVA API JDOM 1.0 (of this site www.jdom.org) I put the archive jdom.jar in the directory /usr/share/java/jdom.jar and I added this path in the CLASSPATH variable. The program runs normally when I launch it in a unix shell. Now, I want to launch this JAVA program in a PHP program with system() function for example. I have an Apache server with PHP 4 who runs. The variable safe_mode of PHP is at off. So, the program PHP can launch executable program. But, It doesn't because of CLASSPATH problem I think. So, to understand where is the problem I...

Problems converting MATLAB program to C program
Hi. We are trying to convert a realy simple MATLAB program (here it is: function div3 % output the number 3 3) to a stand alone C program using MATLAB automatic compiler. Here is the command: mcc -m -v -I /usr/local/project -d /usr/local/project div3 We get an error message, and we don't have an idea what it means and what else can we do. Problems when combining a line chart and a bar chart in the same plot.
Hello! I am taking a course in Meteorology at the University of Uppsala. For the present, I'm busy with a climate study, which is including this course. Our task is to describe the climate in different regions of the world. My group is looking on Turkey. We are going to classify the climate according to Koeppens system. To be able to describe the local climate we will be analyzing mean values of temperature and precipitation for some selected stations. The data are plotted in a graph with the temperature drawn as curves and the precipitation decpicted as bars. Here's an example for t...

type inference problem in my ocaml program (program is very short)
Hello In the program below there is a conflict between the type returned by function read_lines (a list of strings) and the type of exception End_of_file after the last line is read. That's why I rewrote it the way you see it below. Now though I get an empty list. Please help me to understand why the length of mylist is 0 and how to close_in handle. In general the question I hope you'll answer is what are we supposed to do when we get 1 or more exceptions of the non-fatal variety in a function that returns a list of things. I hope that we return a list of whatever we've accumulat...

A newbie paradox: is this a PK-FK (relationship) problem, or programming problem?
I'm getting the hang of database architecture design I think, along with easy to code, drag-and-drop Access 2003 forms programming--great front end. But I have a question about a form involving three tables--and I'm not sure if this is a programming question or a database architecture question, hence the crosspost. I have three tables to model a stock portfolio (buying and selling by a single person having numerous accounts): Stock_Accounts (plural), in a single table (red flag), which belong to a single individual, then a stock table, Stocks, listing all the stocks owned...

Programming problem
Hi, I have the following problem in vhdl: There are 256 parallel incoming 16-bit-values to compare and at the end i want to give out the maximum value and the minimum value. I think to be economical it is not the best way to install a row of comparators so im searching for a more efficient way. Maybe it is clever to serialise data and compare them consecutively but im not sure about how to do that or if there is a better solution. If anyone has a suggestion I would be very happy. Also if anyone know some library or some free code for programming charts for windows it would be nice. I use MS visual studio 6. A programming problem.
Write an awk program that reads quasi regular expressions from std-in and writes to std-out the set of strings in the language associated with the regular expression. A regular expression is a sequence of items. For awk parsing convenience, adjacent items have at least one space between them; for further convenience, the regular-expression operators are used in prefix form. Items otherwise unidentified in the syntax should be copied as is: $ echo a b c | regexp-gen a b c $ An option item is a question mark followed by an item; it indicates that the item may or may not appear in str...

I've got Fujitsu MAN3184MP and Adaptec 29160 scsi card. Sometimes i have this message "A disk read error occured" , sometimes even bios does not recognize it, sometimes it does but the boot sequence does not start it seems that motherboard bios has problems with it ( so it seems to me, i could be wrong about that assumption) . Then i reset and it all works perfectly. I've noticed a speed degradation in Win XP lately. I'm angry :)) I have LVD/SE terminator, and i think 68pin cable ( not sure about that ). Hope i gave you enough info to try and help. Thanx! -- ----------------------------------- Makni #### iz adrese Seems obvious that the drive is going belly up.
