Most Intel-based pure UNIX products have withered on the vine.
There is of course Solaris (or OpenSolaris), I don't know about
Italian support.

However, if you just want to run something very similar to UNIX,
one of the thousands of Linux distributions is probably what you
want, and most are localized for many different languages.

If you want real UNIX (TM) to run on x86 hardware, Solaris is the
answer. I believe Italian is an install-time language option. See
http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/index.jsp for more information.

As far as running Solaris along with XP, if XP is already installed
on your drive I'd probably recommend getting a removable drive setup
and dedicating a new disk for each OS you want to work with. Life
is just simpler that way.

Good luck,
Dave

You should be able to choose Italian languagae while installing the
*nix flavor. If you already have Windows XP installed, I would suggest
either using a different disk (as suggested beore) or using 'Partition
Magic' software to partition the drive without loss of existing data.

BTW, If you just need a *nix enviornment, you could also look at
installing cygwin on Windows. Just google for it to see if that would
serve your purpose.
