bind <Shift-something> does not work under XF 4.3 tcl 8.3.5, ActiveState 8.4.3
I have tried the following script, under XFree86-4.3.0-2 both with RedHat 8 and 9, either with the native RH tcl 8.3.5 and with the ActiveState tcl 8.4.3 distributions. In all these platform combinations, the binding of <Shift-* does not work. For example, for Shift-F1, I get XF86_Switch_VT_1 (see xmodmap dump below), but the binded script is not triggered. However, the script works fine under Windows, with the same tcl distributions. Any hint? pack [entry .a] bind .a <Shift_L> {puts "hello, Shift"} bind .a <Shift-F1> {puts "hello, Shift-F1"} bind .a <...

Bind 8.4.4
i have a slave box i just built with the lastest patch's and all with bind 8.4.4 that local network users can't reslove named from the box with the default name unless i force the full server name. Then when i goto another segment and force the nslookup server to the same box without the full server name it won't work, but will with the full server name. now on all the other box's which are running bind 8.4.4 i can connect there there local segment servers via just the server name with out any problems. But if i go and force the server to one of the other slaves via nslookup it will resolve names just fine either way. anyone have a clue to what could be wrong with this one box? Thanks, George Blankenship ...

Building ACE-5.4.8 with g++ 4.4.6
I have a problem compiling ACE-5.4.8 on our new redhat 6.2 server at work. I have encountered an error that was not present on our old server. After c= hecking the g++ version, i am almost certain this is an issue that is due to the ve= rsion conflict. I just want to verify if this is indeed the case and if there is a workarou= nd that would allow me to build/compile ACE-5.4.8 on the new server with g++ 4.4.6. I did some searching and it seems that this is related to the following pos= t: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/comp.soft-sys.ace/dirent.h/comp.= soft-sys.ace/O...
