BIND-9.10.2-P4: Cannot use in-view to refer to RPZ zone definitions: "'$RPZ_ZONE' is not a master or slave zone"

I'm running BIND 9.10.2-P4 from Gentoo Linux's net-dns/bind-9.10.2_p4 package. Has this been fixed in a later version? Am I doing something really silly? empty-zones-enable vs. forwards for rfc1918 reverse zones
Hi, I have an internal bind server that has several forward zones pointing to other internal name servers that carry reverse zones for rfc1918 networks we are using in our networks (let's say something like 0.20.10.in-addr.arpa). This works fine until I either set empty-zones-enable yes; or include the empty rfc1918 master zones that Debian provides (this is bind 9.8.4): When there is a 10.in-addr.arpa master zone, an additional forward zone for 0.20.10.in-addr.arpa will just be ignored. (I assume in this case I would need to provide for some kind of delegation for the re...

Future of BIND's built-in empty zone list
Now that RFCs 7434 & 7435 have been published, how do ISC see the future of the seemingly ever-expanding built-in empty zone list in BIND? One possibility that seems plausible to me is to add EMPTY.AS112.ARPA to the list now, and remove existing entries if and when the corresponding names in the public DNS acquire DNAMEs pointing to that (hopefully ones with large TTLs). -- Chris Thompson Email: cet1@cam.ac.uk ...

Why 'z'..'a' is not empty?
Hi, The following code shows that 'z'..'a' is not empty. But perlop says the following. So it should return empty list. Does anybody know why 'z'..'a' is not empty? If the left value is greater than the right value then it returns the empty list." ~/linux/test/perl/man/perlop/dot_dot/list_context$ cat main.pl #!/usr/bin/env perl use warnings; print join(',', 1..10), "\n"; print join(',', 10..1), &quo...

behavior varied between empty string '' and empty list []
while I can invoke methods of empty string '' right in typing (''.join(), etc.) I can't do the same with empty list example: >>> a = [1,2,3] >>> b = [].extend(a) >>> b >>> b = [] >>> b.extend(a) >>> b [1,2,3] I would not use b = a since I don't want changes on 'b' to apply on 'a' do you think this should be available on lists to invoke method directly? empty
searching the manual gives lots of hits, none of which appear relevant (at least by the title). I had the following code in a scheduling class: if ($ptNum == "empty") { $ptNum = 0; $status= "e"; } I pass the string "empty" to the function as a patient number if we are creating an empty appointment slot. now, this fails because with a patient number of 0 the if returns true. I am aware of the function empty() that would work like that, but do not understand why the compare fails with the constant, "empty." I fixed the function by making it a ...

Trap for 'clipboard is empty' 'error'
In a button I have this code: Testfield.SetFocus DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdPaste When the clipboard is empty this gives an error saying that this action is not available at the moment. I'd like to trap for this error, prevent the message from showing, and stop the whole routine that comes after this code. What would be the best way to do this? thanks, john I do this in two steps: First, find out what error is thrown. Put 'on error resume next' before the offending line, and if err>0 then msgbox err.number & ":" & err.description afterwards. Now, force t...

filling an empty set with 'merge'
I have a data table that is 300 variables (numbers fudged for my example) and is empty (0 obs). I created this table from a data dictionary using SQL. I have data that comes in from several states monthly in different formats (SAS, SPSS, Access, csv). Usually, the data come in in 3 separate files, but not always. * For example, state A might send in 3 separate files of 100 vars each. * Another state might send in all 300 vars. * There are about 15 vars that are common across the 3 separate files (demographic data). The rest are disease specific. * ...

some programs are 'empty'
Hello, I have a running Debian Sarge with KDE 3.1.Everything is fine except this: When I start for example konqueror, I can see the outer rectangle and the titlebar from konqueror. The rest is only blue color (the bg-color of my desktop). So I cant see the address-bar or the menus or sth. else from the programm. Does anybody know that problem? I had this problem a time ago, but I don't remember the solution. I *think* it was only one setting in the XFree86 config file.
