This is the same patch that worked for us also.

RE: kinit fail on AIX
We saw this problem in our AIX environment also when we moved up from 1.3.6 to 1.4.3 and we had to apply a patch to fix this. -----Original Message----- From: kerberos-bounces@mit.edu [mailto:kerberos-bounces@mit.edu] On Behalf Of Hong Ye Sent: Friday, April 21, 2006 1:08 PM To: kerberos@mit.edu Subject: kinit fail on AIX Hi, I compiled and installed kerberos 1.4.3, 1.4.1, 1.3.6 on AIX (5.2). Kinit works fine for version 1.3.6. But when I run kinit under v1.4.3 or 1.4.1, it gave me error: kinit(v5): Cannot resolve network address for KDC in requested realm while getting initial credentials Here are the commands I used: ../configure --prefix=/users/mmm/krb5_1.4.3 --with-krb4 --enable-static --disable-shared make make install I think kerberos 1.3.6 uses the save configuration file(/etc/krb.conf, krb5.conf) as 1.4.3 and the DNS host name to IP address lookup works fine. So what's the problem? any suggestion? Yes, and having a DISPLAY in the CM code versus not having it causes a sizeable fixed buffer to be allocated for the DISPLAY. This shuffles the relative locations of your variables in the stack, not to mention making it larger (I've seen DISPLAYs "fix" bounds violations on occasion). I agree that this is a good idea. I don't think we would need mac specific code, as I think the interface and implementation can be done on the generic interface of the wx controls. For the time being, all I was thinking of doing is a simple "if" where needed in the wxTextValidator to know whether it's dealing with a combo-box or text edit control (pretty much like the generic validator does). It seems to me very simple to do so, and that is definitely something I can do. As for creating a wxTextEntryIFace, I'm not 100% sure I understand your design concept. ...
