Sunil,
I'm not going to go back to your other e-mails and try and find what
operating system you are on. And it may may not matter...

My question for you is, why have you chosen to upgrade to 1.3.1 rather
than the latest version, which is 1.6.3?

As for the upgrade, in most cases you can simply compile and install,
replacing the previous version (libraries and binaries). I don't
believe the database format has changed since 1.2.7, so it should be
safe to do this even if you are running a KDC.

 Hello kevin,

Sorry for confusing you from the begininng.
I am using a linux environment in which has kerberos 1.2.7. This machine was
requesting for ticket from KDC(windows ) in another domain.

Thats where i encountered Error Code 52. Everyone including you suggested me
to upgrade to newer version of kerberos. and i saw kerberos 1.3.1 in many
discussion forum. SO i thought that is a stable version to go for when i
upgrade my Linux pc.

Anyway please advice me which is the good stable version of kerberos to go
for while upgrading my machine.
Also please help me to install it successfully. i mean how to remove the
previous version and install the new verison in Linux.

Thanks
Sunil C

Problem installing matplotlib 1.3.1 with Python 2.7.6 and 3.3.3 (release candidate 1)
Hello, I tried to install matplotlib 1.3.1 on the release candidates of Python 2.7.6 and 3.3.3. I am on Mac OS X 10.6.8. Although the installation gave no problems, there is a problem with Tcl/Tk. The new Pythons have their own embedded Tcl/Tk, but when installing matplotlib it links to the Frameworks version of Tcl and TK, not to the embedded version. This causes confusion when importing matplotlib.pyplot: objc[70648]: Class TKApplication is implemented in both /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/libtk8.5.dylib and /Library/Frameworks/Tk.framework/Versions/8.5/Tk. Newbie question; why (cons (list 1 2) (list 3 4)) is ((1 2) 3 4) and not ((1 2) (3 4))
Hi, I just started to learn LISP, and stumbled in SICP upon (cons (list 1 2) (list 3 4)) is evaluated to ((1 2) 3 4) I do not understand why this is not: ((1 2) (3 4)) because (cdr (cons (list 1 2) (list 3 4))) is (3 4) and (car (cons (list 1 2) (list 3 4))) is (1 2) Is there a logical explanation? LISP is the name of the programming language invented in 1959 by John McCarthy and of the first program implementing it written amongst other by Steve Russel, one of his students. LISP 1.5 is a segueing version of that same program dating about 1962 that had some distribution. Then various lisp languages were developed at various places by various teams. Names such as MacLisp, InterLisp, LeLisp, StandardLisp, vLisp, Lisp Machine Lisp, Scheme, GNU Emacs Lisp, etc. It was quite a mess, and people had a hard time sharing programs. So they talked and designed and wrote and voted and produced the ANSI Common Lisp standard (in the USA), meanwhile in Europe they produced the ISO Lisp standard. Nowadays, almost all the other lisps are "dead", with only scheme (current version r5rs, r7r...
