Error: Data link error

Hello,
i use Novel DOS 7.0 with uka_ppp. that works very good with my old
mainboard.
Since a few weeks a have a new Soyo P4I 845PE ISA mainboard with Pentium
IV 2,4 GHz.Now i have the problem, that i can get my mails vom pop.t-
online.de. I become the error message "DATA LINK ERROR".
I can surf with lynx without problems. I can only get mails from
pop.gmx.de or from the news.t-online.de.
uka_ppp uses tcpport.exe. I have donwloades the wat-32 libs and compiled
the progs etc. But i can not build the tcpport.exe with djgpp.
In my wattcp.cfg are

If lynx works, then that's encouraging.

TCPPORT was a Borland 16 bit application.

Send me your Email address, asking for tcpport (I get too much mail to
remember everone) and I'll Email you the binary if you want.

TCP/IP Errors (Look for error log)
Is there a log kept for TCP/IP errors? If so how do I look at it. Thanks, Dan Yes, for each protocol. In general I don't think there are TCPIP errors, but there are FTP, SMTP, HTTP, etc errors each in their own log (if set up properly)... When is an error not an error?
The Java language specification claims in: 8.8.7.1 Explicit Constructor Invocations .... "If an anonymous class instance creation expression appears within an explicit constructor invocation statement, then the anonymous class may not refer to any of the enclosing instances of the class whose constructor is being invoked." Helpfully it gives an example: "For example: class Top { int x; class Dummy { Dummy(Object o) {} } class Inside extends Dummy { Inside() { super(new Object() { int r = x; }); // err...

Problem with TCP/IP communication: error ni-448 when I want to write on a TCP/IP-connection
Hi folks   I have a really annoying problem: I want a computer (Win XP, Ethernet board, Labview 7.1) to communicate with my robot controller (Win 2k, Epson SPEL+ language). The robot controller is the client, the LabViewPC the server. now reading messages sent by the robot controller are no problem to read. But when I want to send messages from the LabViewPC to the robot controller I get an error message: error ni-448, make sure that the GBIP-controller is the primary controller.   For the communication I open a TCP-listener and a TCP wait listener in a while loop. So far thi...

Advanced Server 7 ODBC error
I have installed a FileMaker Server 7 with the Advanced Server license. In FileMaker Server Admin, under Action, Properties, Clients for my server under the Enable Client Services tab, Allow ODBC and JDBC connections is checked. I have nothing listed in the FileMaker Web Publishing Engine section. Although I do have both the xDBC.fmx and the xDBC Support Folder copied to my FileMaker Server 7\Extensions\Plugins director, under FileMaker Server Admin under the Server Plug-Ins panel, nothing is listed (should it be?) The problem is, when I try to actually create a datasource, in this case on ...

Mercury 4.01a SMTP Client (Relay Version)
I am new to Mercury, but it's been working well on a Windows XP SP1 machine. I would like to move this mail-server function to a different machine which is running XP SP2. I installed Mercury on the XP2 machine and it seems to work except the SMTP Client (Relay Version). Whenever there is something in the queue to send, SMTP fails with "TCP/IP error during processing. Error FF servicing queue job". So far as I can see, the Mercury set-up is the same on both machines. They are both on the same LAN (just different ports on the same cable DSL router) and I am using the sa...

Protocol Error: Unknown error. (6410)
This took me a while to figure out, so I figured I'd post the solution so others could benefit, directly or via Google. I couldn't get my Palm Tungsten|E2 to HotSync correctly. Whenever I plugged in the HotSync cable, the HotSynce would start automatically, whether or not I wanted it to or did anything to make it start. The HotSync would only go a little into the process and would then freeze, displaying a blinking line at the top of the screen. A soft boot was needed to recover from this. The HotSync log displayed the message: "HotSync session completed with errors - ...
