Electronic publishers or traditional?
Ask these questions to make sure they're right for you: 1 - How much will it cost to turn your manuscript into a published book? 2 - What is the minimum number of books you have to purchase, and what does each book cost you? 3 - How much input do you have in the final design, layout, and cover of your book? 4 - How much input do you have on the content? Will it be edited to a point where even YOU don't recognize it? 5 - How will your book be bound an will it include an EAN barcode? (Retailers typically won't stock books that are not perfect bound and lack an ...

Fortigate is greate but not so great.
Hi, We have purchased two FORTGATES 60,they made our internet faster and of course more secure. But it could be really better. I can block banned words and file extensions in my e-mails. But I would like to apply this concept four groups and not for "everybody". Let me give an example. Group Vendors. Can receive .JPEG Can=B4t receive .PPS Can receive .zip Can receive a Banned word like "VIAGRA" Group Buyers Can receive .PPS cAN=B4T Receive ZIP. Can=B4t receive a banned word. Electronic publishing
Hi, people are often using PDFs to publish something online. A lot of the PDFs contains pictures in *big sizes* which are useful for printing but not for switching online (I think, because you will read this on your screen). So here is my question: Is it possible to make PDFs by just one mouse click optimal for online publishing? Are there any programs for this job? Great, great Request
Hello, I have a request and please help me. I think it is easy, but I failed. It is urgent. I have a physical problem that I am solving in Matlab. I have 4 pulses f1(t), f2(t)... radiated from different receivers R(1), R(2).... I have already written a loop for one pulse that characterizes f1(t) pulse propagation in medium: for t=1:nmax ..................... R(1)=f1(t) .................... end My problem is that I would like to consider in the same loop 4 different pulses. When calculation for f1(t) is finished, calculation for f2(t) should start automatically...and so on. Of course, I c...

1st RFD: The Great Downsizing 2011/1
The Big-8 has embarked on a project to remove about 200 low-content newsgroups. These are newsgroups which are un-moderated, and appear to be no longer in use. One of these newsgroups is our own comp.sys.apple2.gno. In addition, I have proposed that csa2.comm and csa2.usergroups also be removed. I encourage everyone who regularly participates in the csa2 groups to at least read over the proposal, or even post a follow-up if you have additional input. Adobe 6 is great but not so great
Hi, I've been dealing with PDF 1.5 to make a presentation with (La)TeX in my Mac OS X. I found PDF 1.5 is so great, because it allows multimedia files like SWF, animated GIFs, and others to be played in Adobe Acrobat Reader 6. After some days of working how to make a Screen annotation with pdfmark/pdftex, I found out that Adobe 6 Reader does not support other multimedia rendering than QuickTime for Mac OS X. I can't play my SWF animation in my PDF presentation with Mac! I also found out that if I put floating window setting for playing a movie and I put my presentation as full-screen...
