I have several points some of which are so close they overlap, I'm
using ArcGIS how do you get it to display these points so they all can
be seen?
I have seen some maps where this happens, they overcame this by having
a line coming form the grid reference to the displayed point for only
the clustered points.

ArcGIS 9.3 supports "Representations" where you can move the point display
and keep all the original geospatial intact. check that out at www.esri.com
