**Cell Tracking Algorithms #2**I am working on a cell tracking problem,wherein multiple cells have to be tracked over a number of video frames (black and white).We have used bipartite matching to solve the problem,using only the cell centres.The area or contour of the cells cannot be used since the images are too noisy;filtering results in loss of such information.Now in order to test the efficiency of our method we need to compare it against some other well established tracking algorithms.Can anyone suggest some algorithm of this sort,which can be applied to black and white images and only uses the position information (I ...

**Tracking algorithm**Hi,
I have a simple tracking algorithm which tracks a scalar:
scalar_estimate = h*x
error = actual_scalar - scalar_estimate
h = h + 0.01*error
It works fine for slowly varying signals, but as soon as the signal
has many abrupt changes, then the tracking algorithm performs worse
because it can't keep up
with the rapid changes.
So I am wondering what type of algorithm would be suitable for
tracking rapidly changing signals?
Thanks

**Tracking algorithms**Hello Friends,
We are developing a navigation module with a DSP ,GPS ,Gyro,Digital Compass and Accelerometer.
This will be used in drones to facilitate a return home g=function when the drones loose wifi contact. I am using an Analog Devices Blackfin chip. Can anybody point me to algorithms that can be of use in such tracking applications pls.

**phase tracking algorithm**I'm trying to implement a BPSK demodulator in Matlab. Everything works
fine as expected if my modulator & demodulator are at the exact same
frequency. However if my modulator is off slightly, the phase rotates as
expected.
Does anybody have any papers or references for tracking this phase
rotation, such that frequency offset doesn't kill my demodulator?
Thanks,

**tracking adaptive algorithm**Hi everyone,
I'm working on my phd thesis in a field related with the active noise
control and i'm looking for an algorithm with good tracking capability, to
work with a time-varying input signal (non stastionary).
I have made several test with FXLMS, N-FXLMS, Leaky-FXLMS without much
succes, I'm going in wrong direction with this algorithms?
Variable-step-size-LMS could improve that tracking capability?
Any advice is welcomed.
Thx.

**IMM tracking algorithms**Dear all,
I am involved in a mobile robotic project, where we need to track
moving obstacles in a populated dynamic environment.
I am considering of using something like an Interactive Multiple

Does anybody have any Matlab source code of this algorithm, wich is
used in a simple example? Such a demo-code could provide me with a
first picture of the algorithm's fuctionality.
Thank you for your time,

**algorithm/algorithmic fonts**Hi,
I'm using the 'algorithm' and 'algorithmic' packages.
Some of the numbered lines have a variable-width sized

someone pls inform me about how to change all the lines
to the variable-width sized fonts.

**LTE Cell Search Algorithms**Hi,
I was wondering if anybody could point me towards some decent cell search
algorithms for LTE (timing and frequency synchronization). Any type of
information would be welcome (links to articles, blogs, books etc).
The frequency band included in the cell search would be large (for example
20MHz). Obviously, a sequential search, correlating the ZC sequences by
increment of 15kHz is too expensive. So far, the most useful algorithm I
found is to use CP correlation for coarse time synchronization and the
primary and secondary channels for frequency synchronization and fine time
synch...

**delete cells in cell array with certain cell size**Hi there,
how can I delete cells (arrays of different length) with a size==1 in a cell array?
example for an cell array C. Cells 3 and 6 have a size of 1x2 and have to be deleted:
>>C(1:6)
ans =
[13x2 single] [14x2 single] [1x2 single] [9x2 single] [11x2 single] [1x2 single]
I could manage it for empty cells using cellfun
% Empty cells in cell arrray will be deleted.
C(cellfun(@(C) isempty(C),C))=[];
Thanks Stephan

**Cell within Cell ?**Hi all.
let me describe my problem and what methods I have used so far.
suppose A = cat(3, cell(3,3) ,cell(3,3) );

After going through some looping, B and C will be stored in A. However, when I click on A or type A in the command window, it DOES NOT show

**dealing with cell of cells**My data files are tab-delimited ascii files that contain one header
line (strings that may contain white characters other than \t) and
multiple lines of %f. I found it hard to make use of a standard

different white characters in the header line. One result I get by
calling textread on such a file is a array of

<number_of_rows> cells each containing one %f value. The
standard cell2mat function won't work on cell of cells. So, how do I
translate such an "array of c...

**Video motion tracking algorithms/code**Does anyone know of good code/algorithm for tracking the
coordinates of multiple points in a video file? I work in a

very tiny parts. Most of the parts are dark, navy blue or
black, so we can put spots of retroreflective paint at the
points of interest, then use very bright lets to get an
extremely high-contrast video. The algorithm to track ONE
dot is simple enough, just use the threshold function to
convert the grayscale image to black and white, then use the
regionprops function to find the white areas and their
