Cell Tracking Algorithms

I am working on a cell tracking problem,wherein multiple cells have to be tracked over a number of video frames (black and white).We have used bipartite matching to solve the problem,using only the cell centres.The area or contour of the cells cannot be used since the images are too noisy;filtering results in loss of such information.Now in order to test the efficiency of our method we need to compare it against some other well established tracking algorithms.Can anyone suggest some algorithm of this sort,which can be applied to black and white images and only uses the position information (I have come across a number of algorithms which use colour/contour/area on the net)???

Hi, I have a simple tracking algorithm which tracks a scalar: scalar_estimate = h*x error = actual_scalar - scalar_estimate h = h + 0.01*error It works fine for slowly varying signals, but as soon as the signal has many abrupt changes, then the tracking algorithm performs worse because it can't keep up with the rapid changes. Hi, I was wondering if anybody could point me towards some decent cell search algorithms for LTE (timing and frequency synchronization). Any type of information would be welcome (links to articles, blogs, books etc). The frequency band included in the cell search would be large (for example 20MHz). Does anyone know of good code/algorithm for tracking the coordinates of multiple points in a video file? I work in a microrobotics lab where we take lots of high-speed video of very tiny parts. Most of the parts are dark, navy blue or black, so we can put spots of retroreflective paint at the points of interest, then use very bright lets to get an extremely high-contrast video.
