Hi,

I'm new to Matlab and have some doubts regarding the video compression for H.263.

1. How to get the frames and subsequently macroblocks from a video input?
2. Which would come first, IDCT or DCT before doing the quantization and coding?
3. Is there any way to code in matlab and then convert it to java code? There is something called JNI(Java Native Interface) but does matlab have some alternative?
4. How to read and interpret the result obtained, i.e, which is the coefficient and which one's to use?
