hi...i am new to matlab & has got a project on image compression using neural N\W in matlab for my university project..so i want 2 know what are the things i must read out in order to programming in matlab.
i know the theoretical concepts of image compression but do not know how to do image processing in matlab.
so plzz help me by giving appropriate information ..

Do you really need (to use) neural networks?
Image compression is based on different algorithmns. So, I did not see the advantage of using neural network, yet. Also, you have to train the network, etc.
