License Server on Virtual Machine (ESX)

Hello,

does anyone have experiences using virtual host for the flexlm?
Are there possible issues from legal perspective?

We are going to transform our server environment 
to virtual machines as much as possible (much easier to manage and maintain...).
Now it would be nice not to need an extra physical machine for flexlm.
