...RBF Neural Net Design Using NEWFF
As a result of the recent post
I've discovered, to my amazement, that
1. NEWFF can be used with the activation
function RADBAS. Consequently, RBFNNs
can be designed using NEWFF.
2. Unlike NEWRB, the widths of the trained
Gaussians are not equal.

I am looking for a theoretical models which can allow me to model
network security (just as we use ~rsndom graphs to model Internet
topology, I want to get a model where I could model basic security
stuff). I would be grateful for any info about such papers...

I finally bit the bullet and tried to set up a network between my laptop and
XP pro on tower, XP home on laptop.
I followed the setup wifi home network wizard's advice and used a USB flash
I ran the wizard on the tower, and transferred the settings to the laptop.
That's as far as I got. The laptop can't see the PC and the PC can't see
The troube shooting guide had me changing this name, and that name, so now I
don't know what anything's name is anymore. Except my own, and I'm not
completly sure of that either. ;)

Hi I am having problems getting the frequency spectrum of a sine wave in simulink.
The system I have designed is fairly basic. The signal is a 5hz sine wave that gets outputed to a scope and a Zero-Order Hold. From there it goes to the Spectrum Scope and a vector scope.
Both the scope and vector scope show the same 5hz wave. The spectrum of a 5hz wave should show a single spike at 5hz (using stems), but this is not the case. I get one spike at ~4.8 and another at ~5.3
Can anyone help with this? I am at a lose for what to do next.
The zero-hold is set to .01

should be. How do i do this when im using the NNTOOL??
could someone please give me some help cos i have a uni assignment

Hello, I know a bit of theory, but it's the first time I use a neural
I have a to identify a function from a an input with about 10 elements
to a target with about 4 elements. The elements of target have
different variability: for example, an output can vary from -45 to
-25, while another from 2.3 to 2.8.
I'm using the Matlab Neural Network Toolbox, and I tried a feedback
network with default parameters (alghoritms), varing the number of
neurons and layers, but, while I can simulate very well the first
target, I get bad results for the second one.

In no particular pattern, i get this error, and the only way out is to
reboot the server (and take downtime), which is not good. It could
happen after several monhts, or several days.

I've googled qutie a bit for this, and it appears that this is not an
uncommon error, but wasn't able to find specific solutions.
