Hi all!
I am trying to do a repeated measures factorial ANOVA. The independent factors are EO/EC (two conditions) and Pre/Post (before and after treatment, this is the difference I am really interested in), i.e. I have a 2x2 matrix (EO+Pre, EO+Post, EC+Pre and EC+Post). The subjects are the same at all the groups and the groups are (therefore) the same size. Since I have a lot of measures (dependent variables) I have to repeat this so many times that would be nice to do it with Matlab..
I found many different ANOVAs in Matlab, but how to do this one?
One reason I find this a bit challenging is that there seems to be different names for different ANOVAs. Is 2x2 factorial ANOVA the same as two-way ANOVA? If this is the case, is there a way to do a _repeated_ measures two-way ANOVA? The examples I found only have groups that are different.
Also using this repeated measures factorial/two-way ANOVA, is there a way to see which change is statistically more significant Pre->Post when EO or Pre->Post when EC or will I have to do say a paired Student's t-test to get this? And if I do just a lot of t-tests (which always sound a bit iffy to me..), is there any reason to do the factorial ANOVA?
Thank You,
Aino

A year has passed and I'm struggling again with the same problem. So I'll answer myself. I found this link:
http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/6874-two-way-repeated-measures-anova
Isn't this what I'm looking for? Matlab still doesn't have a build in 2x2 repeated measures ANOVA, or does it?
Thank you,
Aino
