Simulation problem in Simulink

I 'm a new user of Simulink. I tried to connect two demo files as a subsystem, but I did not manage it. The next message is shown "The "FixedStepDiscrete" solver cannot be used to simulate block diagram 'power_wind_dfig_det_fc_3004' because it contains continuous states". When I choose to run simulation in a continuous state I have other problems. Can I run a subsystem using a different simulation model than the main one?
