What can I do in Matlab and Maple for a PC with 2 CPUs?

I just discovered that my PC is equipped with two slow Xeon 2.4GHz
CPUs which supports only up to SSE2,

Anything I can do within matlab and Maple to utilize the two CPUs for
speedups?

Thanks

and which OS are you using?

You missed the OS, which might make a difference.

For Matlab, see
