How to launch SAS/AF module?

  • Follow

Hi,

I have installed SAS Base 9.1 with SAS/AF component but I cannot find
the way how to launch SAS/AF? Should it have additional icon in Start
Menu or maybe it is launched from SAS Base menus?

Probably my problem is that I actually don't have SAS/AF installed and
the only way how to test it is to make sure how to launch it.

Thank you guys,

Marcin

Marcin,

They don't make it easy to find:

Click somewhere within SAS Explorer
Click on file->new=3D>catalog and
 assign a name to the calalog
Double click on the new catalog
Still within SAS Explorer
 Click on file->new->frame

You should now be in SAS/AF

SAS/AF is more of an embedded product, like SAS/Macro is part of Base/
SAS.
Having the SAS/AF license means you can create FRAME and SCL entries
in a SAS catalog.

Right click within a SAS catalog to get a popup so you can create a
Frame or SCL entry and that is your starting point.
After that you are either coding SCL, setting property modifications
on the Frame, or doing a drag-n-drop onto the frame.
