Re: SASware ballot
You may have tried this already, but how about printing it to a text file, and then working from there?

As a rule of thumb, the GSA requires a "best price" from a vendor and that usually is construed as a reduction of 16% off the commercial offering. So, add an additional 16% on to those prices and you're in the ball park.

Hi SAS-Lers,
Has anyone been able to convert the pricing PDF to a SAS dataset. It appears to be heavily encrypted. The only way to create a SAS dataset is to scrape screen shots.
I thought I would add 16% and do some analyses. Pricing behavior can expose SAS strategic directions.

Hi ,
I have acrobat professional, however the file appears to be internally
encrypted with the highest security. It is sad because this is the
type of information users need.
If you try to conver to some other format you get the dialog box 'This
document has insufficiient permissions to perform the operation'
Can't even print to file in to some other format.
Password security is at the highest level, except functions that allow
poor vision users to enlarge the image.
I even tried Ghostscipt
This PostScript file was created from an encrypted PDF file.
Redistilling encrypted PDF is not permitted.
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
I am looking for a mutlipage screen scraper that will allow me to make
an image of each page and then use OCR. I don't think that is illegal.
I think many users would like a nice little relational database schema
that thy could analyze for best price performance?
