Looking for Spss/Pc+ V2.x software for IBM Pc/Xt/at (1988)

Old timers,

I am looking for nostalgia software for SPSS/PC.

Specifically, SPSS/PC+ V2.x software for the IBM PC XT/AT that came out
in 1988. I need the full version not the student version. The Graphics
add-on is desirable but not necessary.

Any usable media or download, e.g., ftp, is fine. Or just attach it to
an email reply.

SPSS itself does not have it anymore.

Thanks,

Art Kendall

Damn Art,
If you are going to engage in unmitigated self abuse at least do it
properly with version 5.

Looking for XENIX or PC/IX for IBM PC.
Hello, I know Minix, but I'd like to find other UNIX or UNIX-like OS for early IBM PC (circa 1981-85 or so). This is to study the booting process and operating system in general. Please let me know what you have. I offer my help to make diskette copies if you can't yourself, for your own backup purpose as well. Thanks. SPSS/PC v2.0 key disk or image copy of key disk Buy? Borrow?
I really need an SPSS/PC v2.0 key disk or exact image copy of one. This is the version for PC from 1988. We have the program up and running to the point where it will start up and ask for the key disk. The copy of the key disk I have does not work. I contacted SPSS and they do not have a copy to sell or lend me. They also said they would have no problem with my obtaining a copy elsewhere. My friend who is into hardware systems thinks that there is a good chance that an exact image (aka container) file of the key disk would work. DOS copy does not make an exact image copy, a program called RAWRITE will. If you have a machine with a 5.25 drive would you please send me an exact image copy of it? If your computer uses Windows, please use something like the free software at the link below to create an exact image of the key disk. then please zip the .fic file and email it to me. If your computer does not use windows, please let me know what OS it uses, and I'll find a version of *rawrite* for your operating system and send it to you. If you have difficulties getting an image copy of the key disk, would you be willing to send the disk itself to me? I would certainly reimburse you for shipping. I would also be willing to reimburse you for your time and send a security deposit pending my return of your disk if you need that. Floppy Image Creator <http://www.fdos.org/ripcord/rawrite/flpimg141.zip> (Freeware ...

Intel + Mac = PC? Does AMD + PC != PC?
I see this has popped up occasionally and I just wanted to get a clear view of what people were talking about when they were suggesting Macs are no longer Macs. It seems a great deal of this is a result of Apple's switch to intel processors. Is that the only thing that people are basing this statement on? Is it the fact that with Apple's Bootcamp software you can duel boot to XP? If either of those are the case, what about the following: PCs don't necessarily all have intel processors. If a PC is built around an AMD processor, does it cease to be a PC? A PC doesn't...

Network Usage Friendly PC to PC Voice Software
My friend recently subscribed to broadband service in India which restricts the number of bytes that can be transfered (upload and download) per month (255 MB per month). Sofware like Yahoo and MSN take up about 12 MB for single hour of conversation. Hi, apologies if I bother you with a question that has been around for more than a decade... I have to synchronize the Palm databases on two PCs directly without the handheld! Reason: both PCs run palmone desktop 4.1.4 (as recommended by palm for my palm pilot). My palm pilot, however, is too old to install the corresponding version. It runs on some older version but communication with the PCs is ok. Now, the desktop 4.1.4 has more data fields (e.g. in Adressbook) than the handheld. I can't therefore, use the handheld anymore to synchronize these additional fiel...
