### Clea case Help

Hi

We've just purchased Clearcase after many good reviews and comments
from Development Teams.

We've installed the licenses provided and the Server appears to be up
and running. However when I've gone through the tutorial, it fails when
on the sections "Creating a Directory Structure and Adding to Source
Control".

I get an error "Error adding the file "Z:\TestVOB\project_sources" to
source control. Config Spec indicates that checkouts are not allowed
for element "M:\intname\testvob3".

Any ideas what I can do to get this to work (as its pretty fundamental
!) ?

Also, is there any recommended guides or tutorials that are for newbies
?

Thanks

Paul.

What is the config_spec of the view from which you tried to do the add
to source control?

case manufacturers?
Sorry, new here, working on an embedded device and I'm looking for possible vendors for case design/fabrication. Seems like most shops I'm finding also want to sell the board/RTOS/software engineering, but I don't need any of that---just a vendor/fab of aluminum or plastic cases that we can mount/brand our solution. Ideally they'd be able to do powder coating and/or silk screening and would have a US office. TIA! Switch + Case
I don't like to write switch keyword and then list cases under switch. Example: int a = 0; switch(a) { case 1: ...... break; case 2: ....... break; case 3 ....... break; } After compiling and linking source code, assembler will show cmp eax, dword ptr [a], je 1, je 2, and je 3 like this way. Scan each JE instruction can reduce the performance each loop. It would be best to use JMP [EAX*4]. JMP Table points to EAX plus 0, 1, or 2. It will gain great performance. I can write JMP Table using MASM. I don't know if HLA support JMP Table that allows me to convert switch / case into JMP Table. Visual C++ has limitation for inline __asm function, but it can't support JMP Table. There has to be another way. Array functions will be great like below. Example: for (a = 0; a <= 2; a++) Array_Function[a]; I don't want to use function because it has to push EIP into stack before it begins to call. After RET is executed, EIP will be popped out of stack. It is annoying. JMP Label is useful. Is there a way that I can create inline Array_Function without needing to use call and ret

CASE expression
As part of a somewhat simple SELECT statement, I am attempting the case expression below on an Oracle server and am getting an Oracle error stating "Error signaled in parallel query server. Invalid number". Here's the expression: CASE WHEN VARIABLE_A = 'R' THEN 0 WHEN VARIABLE_A = 'C' THEN NVL(NUMBER_1,0)+NVL(NUMBER_2,0) END AS TOTAL The idea is I only want to sum numbers 1 and 2 when variable A = 'C'. If its 'R' then I want TOTAL to be 0. Am I missing something? Case studies
How to prepare case study for any project? Hi I cant tell you in detail ...but one of my freind was working on case study for his company as i know he tried to get around hundreds of pages of data abt 1. Company Information 2. Project Details a. TEchinical b. non technical c. Business d. Finance e. Operations 3. Product information (sometimes companies do not put all information abt thier all projects.) 4. All Major and Minor events. (My friend wrote abt the birthdays of collegues in draft version. [:)]) after all this ... he just compiled it for the draft version .... and his final case study he was just cutting down the data caz he had a lot of useless information and finalized it as final version. iPod Mini Housing/Case
I'm looking for a housing/case for a low volume product. The product will be a 9cm x 5cm x 2cm PCB with USB connector and some LED indicators. Anyone know of a company that could supply me with something like the rather cool iPod Mini housing ? I want to avoid large upfront tooling etc costs. TIA, Hugh,, I've worked with these guys in the past, http://www.vandvmachy.com/Products.htm, they are located in Mexico, labor is very cheap, I have them do assembly too, quotes were about 1/3 of US quotes. Draw the item on a napkin and they will go with that. However now mainland china is the place to go, about half the mexico rate and higher quality. Surprisingly China works with low volume customers too, any customers for that matter, they seem to have a billion people waiting for your order, how do you get in contact with mainland china? alibaba.com is the place I use, for instance, for pcb's http://www.alibaba.com/manufacturers/521/PCB_PCBA.html I emailed 5 places, got 3 emailed quotes back, emailed gerbers and sent money (kinda scary) and a week later I received a package with the craziest postage marks on it you've ever seen, and product of high quality inside

listings and case sensitivity
I am using two different languages in some scripts. One language is case sensitive and the other is not. I would like to typeset the code using the listings package, but I cant figure out how to obtain the desiered result. I have tried this \documentclass{article} \usepackage{listings} \begin{document} \lstdefinelanguage{lan1} % not case sensitive {morekeywords={foo}, sensitive=false} \lstdefinelanguage{lan2} % case sensitive {morekeywords={bar}, sensitive=true} \lstset{language=lan1,alsolanguage=lan2} \begin{lstlisting} foo bar FOO BAR \end{lstlisting} \end{document} I would like foo, FOO and bar to be highlighted. Case-insensitive hash?
So I understand that a hash can use keys of any type, not just string (or symbol), but there are occasions when I have a hash that has been populated with string keys whose values I would like to access case-insensitively. Is there a setting or something? Do I have to write a wrapper to deal with it? --Greg On 06/01/06, Gregory Seidman <gsslist+ruby@anthropohedron.net> wrote: > So I understand that a hash can use keys of any type, not just string (or > symbol), but there are occasions when I have a hash that has been populat= ed > with string keys whose values I would like to access case-insensitively. = Is > there a setting or something? Do I have to write a wrapper to deal with i= t? You will need to write a wrapper. Look at HashWithIndifferentAccess in Rails for an example of how to do this. -austin -- Austin Ziegler * halostatue@gmail.com * Alternate: austin@halostatue.ca --Fba/0zbH8Xs+Fj9o Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable On 2006.01.07 05:05, Gregory Seidman wrote: > So I understand that a hash can use keys of any type, not just string (or >

Castle Combo Case
Hi, I'm trying to fix a failed component in a Castle Combo Case. It's on the power supply board at a position marked as RTH1. I think this is a thermistor, but could anyone confirm the type and value? There's a picture of it here http://exoian.8bit.co.uk/Rth1.jpg (82k) Many thanks Ian -- In article <3f8842aa4c.news@balbec.freeserve.co.uk>, Ian Smith <news@balbec.freeserve.co.uk> wrote: > It's on the power supply board at a position marked as RTH1. > I think this is a thermistor, but could anyone confirm the > type and value? OK, thanks guys. It's actually my Dad's case, so I'll get back to him with this and see if we can make progress. case/switch statement?
Hi all, I skimmed through the docs for Python, and I did not find anything like a case or switch statement. I assume there is one and that I just missed it. Can someone please point me to the appropriate document, or post an example? I don't relish the idea especially long if-else statements.
