laser printer for RiscPC options

I have been contacted by someone obviously out of touch with support.
He has been using an epson EPL-3000 laser printer with a RiscPC but it
has stopped with laying down the ink, probably the particle charge
circuitry. He is wanting to know what would be a good replacement. I
have mentioned that networking opens up a lot more options, but it seems
he is persuing a parallel port connection. Has anyone got suggestions
for this person please, I will relay them to him by email.
TIA

I have one of these and I'm very happy with it. With drivers supplied by
CJE I can make full use of the duplex facility

Mine is networked but it has a parallel port

Thanks for the plug Stuart:-)
I've spotted a small mistake in our product code, we suffix Second Hand items
with SH (normally -SH) but I've confirmed that the last 2330DN we have in
stock is new and as the product code forms part of the URL the above link
will change in the next few days to:
http://www.cjemicros.co.uk/micros/individual/newprodpages/prodinfo.php?prodcode=DEL-2330DN

I've also found we do have a second Dell 2330D (no network interface)
complete with a part used 6K toner. It not currently on our website but
should shortly at:
http://www.cjemicros.co.uk/micros/individual/newprodpages/prodinfo.php?prodcode=DEL-2330D-SH

It will be cheaper!

New laser printers that have a parallel interface and are RISC OS compatible
are very rare but we have some in stock!

http://www.cjemicros.co.uk/products/DEL-2350DN

They do also have USB and network interfaces and built in duplex so aren't
cheap. Though with 6,000 page toners available they are cheap to run. We've
sold 20 odd of them and the previous model (2330DN) to RISC OS users who have
often stated how good they are!

We can also do some refurbished cheaper HP lasers with parallel interface.

Probably just needs a new fuser unit. Just look on ebay for the part,
its far cheaper than buying a new one, and no compatibility headaches.

There's a test you can do here: start the printer printing and pull the
power out mid-page (might take a few goes to get right). Open it up and
look at the sheet of paper stuck inside. If it has toner in the right place
but which rubs off, the fuser isn't working. If there is no toner, or toner
in the wrong place, it's likely a drum or EHT issue. Often the drum comes
in the toner cartridge so it's cheap to get a new drum. For EHT the corona
wire is sometimes a consumable, or it may be a fault with the voltage
generation. Others use a charged brush rather than a corona wire - the
brush may need replacing.

I note there's a Xerox Phaser 4500 (seems that's the same chassis, but I
would check) maintenance kit on ebay for cheap currently:
