printer supplies or new printer

I am running a RiscPC700 (NO strongarm), withComputer Concepts turboprinter
feeding a Canon BJC210.

I only use it for !HolyBible and !Sibelius6

I need either ink cartidges for the printer, or a new printer that turbo
will recognise.

Any suggestion?

(PS - sorry I use a Windows for internet and everything else.)

If you have another printer attached to the PC, I would network the Risc
PC to the PC and use its printer via NetPrint, or whatever it's called.
This would allow you to use virtually any printer.

Hi, I use a BJC210 on my RPC. Got cartridges from CJE Micros on line.

Regards, Dave.

I was in a similar situation, but I replaced my printer and threw out
Turboprint: modern Acorn printer drivers and software offer everything
Turboprint does and much more. A printer switch box and new printer
cable would be a much better buy than buying a new dedicated printer.

Not quite, even with FastSpool (chargeable) or a free spooler time to return
use of the computer back to the user may well be longer.

Also depending on the driver you may get larger print borders on non turbo
drivers.

Two other possible problems some later printer drivers need 1.64 or later
which can be a problem for low RAM machines especially say an A5000

Also some users have found it necessary to remove all traces of the turbo
driver from $.!boot to get things working and at least one customer mangled
their $.Boot so much in trying to do so that they ended up travelling over
100miles to us for us to sort out.

And they will need a new (non turbo) printer cable!
