Some of you may be interested in a new book that has been published by
a small specialist publisher. The book reviews and discusses over 200
home computers and consoles, including six pages on the Amiga. It
manages to pull off the unusual combination of being really well
designed (224 full colour pages) and informative (lots of interesting
facts about the systems, key titles and market history).
Anyway you read more about the book and also have a look at some
example pages at my web site:

...Condition number...how large is too large?
When is a condition number too large. From reading past posts, I found that one reader recommended, " "Large" is a word that here only has meaning in the context of your data and the numerical precision that you are working in. A "too large" condition number is usually considered to be roughly 1/eps."
Quoted from, "Subject: A question about condition number, From: John D'Errico, Date: 31 Oct, 2007 10:47:56, Message: 13 of 14"
In my case my data has probably 4 significant digits, I am working in double precision and my condition nu...Would the C65 have been a better gaming machine than the Amiga 500?
I've never owned either system.

No, because the C65 was too little too late. The Amiga was more powerful

entered the market.
The key to a successful gaming machine is not only hardware capabilities
but more importantly the availability of good quality games that take
advantage of the hardware. At the time the C65 would have entered the
market there were already many games available for the Amiga that took
advantage of its ...eBay Auction: Amiga CD32 Game Controller

...games, games, Games!
Let's start another game posting as this is theonly reason I visit this
newsgroup and most postings seem technical or about fan sites (though infor
on cpcoxygen is always welcome!)
Right. Below is a list of games and I want you to put a check (or a yes or
no!) by the ones you completed as a kid (or at least, on its original
release, because not all Amstrad owners in the eighties were children - I
know that!) and a check by the ones you didn't complete as a kid but have
now completed via emulation. Why? Because I'm curious, that's all! The
selection has been dictated s...
