Online manual for the 520 STE?

Hi everybody,

after I sold my 1040 STFM 16 years ago, today I bought a second hand
520 STE. Yeah!

Anybody know where I could get a users manual online? Thanks a lot.

I do not believe there is one. There could be, but I would just buy one from
Best Electronics or some other Atari vendor. On the other hand, you may want
to check out the Atari ST emulators sites. I have seen some that have manuals.

Depending on what you want to know you could try the guides on my site
(plug plug), http://www.zhell.co.uk/atari.html

It's a basic user guide, which is kind of work in progress at mo..

Hi Thomas,

thank you very much for the link to your website. It's very good and
very well done. I'm sure I'll take some useful information from there.

Cheers,
David

Hi Edward,

thanks for the information. What I was looking for is the original
manual. Just for the shake of having it.

Cheers,
David

Did the STe even have a new manual for it, I seem to remember it might
just have been the old STFM one with an addendum on a separate couple of
sheets, but I could be wrong on that. I'll have a look next weekend, if
that's the case then I could scan the addendum for you. The manual if
it's just the STFM one comes up on e-bay all the time for a couple of
pounds, which would be cheaper than downloading it and printing off the
sheets I would imagine.
Thanks for the comments on the site btw :-)

regards

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

yes, I'm sure that the STE had a manual, because in eBay I have seen
some advertisements which contents a manual.

Thanks for the offer of scanning the STFM manual for me, but I would
not like to bother you with such a boring task :-) I'll keep an eye on
eBay to see if I can get that manual that you said.

Thanks a lot.

Cheers,
David

You can get manuals, albeit for a price, from places like Best Electronics
and B&C Computervisions...

Just a thought. :)

Hi Ronald,

I have checked at Best Electronics and indeed they have the Owners
manual at the price of $12. Thanks you very much.

Just I thought I could get it free through Internet :P

Hi Dave and Thomas---

I have a 1040STe model which has a manual. Its very similar to the
original ST manuals except with references for additional video modes,
the PCM sound, and ports.

This site contains Atari ST technical documentation and upgrade projects:
