I'm looking for some great games that were released in the U.S., for
the Commodore 64. It seems that all of my favorite C64 games are from
the U.K. Anyone has suggestions? Thank you.

I think that the Electronic Arts and Activision games are from the USA.
And they were quite good in general.

Being British, I can say pretty much the same. However there are definitely
US games I really like.
Boulderdash, Psi 5 Trading Company, Summer Games (the first), Spy vs Spy
series spring to mind straight away. Am sure there's others too, and
possibly some I don't realise were US. I always liked Interdictor Pilot
too, though not sure how well that would graphically stand up today. You
-need- the manual for that game, apart from teaching you the controls it
also immerses you in the atmosphere.
Was Ghost'n'Goblins US? Commando? Not sure. There's Xevious as well. Quite
a few well worth looking at.
Cheers,
Ian

The first six games of the Ultima series were developed and released in
North America, and I'd consider most of them to be "great games" (Ultimas
II, IV, and V in particular).

Isn't U.K. the 51st State of the U.S. yet?
However in Europe we all had the feeling that everything that had to do
with computers was coming from the U.S. that time. Ok, if you took a
closer look than Rainbow Arts was from Germany, Infogrames from France,
but I think most of the biggest companies were from the U.S. (Accolade,
Activision, Electronic Arts, Epyx, ...).

It's a shame I forgot about Epyx! Of course, great quality games!
