FS / For Sale : Commodore PET 2001
Hey all,
I have a Commodore PET 2001 -8 here w/ the chicklet keyboard for sale.
The thing powers up to random characters on the screen. I cannot seem to
get it working nor can I find any parts for it. I even had a few people
look at it at LUCKI Expo 2005 and, maybe because of the lack of parts, were
unable to get it to function properly.
I was wondering if anyone in here would like to buy it from me as a spare or
to fix up.
It is in very good cosmetic condition with the exception of the usual
scrapes and what not on the metal casing. It is a black trim model with the
white / bluish text (not green screen). Serial # is 0038017
If interested with ideas to fix it, or want to know exactly what it does on
powerup, just let me know here in this newsgroup and I will turn it on and
give all the info I can.
Offers for it can go to my email (change the obvious) : antiquecomp AT
hotmail DOT com
Thank you for your time

I'm no expert in these matters, but I thought the PET 2001 doesn't
support IEEE devices unless you add a 3rd party interface board?

Depends on the ROMS, original (*** COMMODORE BASIC ***)you don't have
IEEE drive support, Upgrade (### COMMODORE BASIC ###) you do.
