Image of CPM disks.

  • Follow

Hi All,

Whilst I'm on the subject of making images of my C128D Disk Collection.

If I remember rightly, the 1st CPM Plus System Disk was a GCR formatted thing
so that the C128D could copy it wasn't it?

Seems that OpenCBM could Image that one OK. (Though the DIRECTORY in
win4opencbm shows garbage, th image has worked ok)

But the Other CPM disks are not GCR they are true CPM MFM disks right?

How do I image those?

Thanks for any helps you can offer.

Keith:
The "CPM" topic doesnt come up too frequently, (or maybe it does)
I have (10) 5.25 boxes full of CPM disks, original and copies, sample
programs
and just about everything having to do with cpm that im not using. If
your interested
please let me know.

Since they are MFM, shouldn't a DOS system be able to read them with
22DISK ... of course, nowadays its not as easy as it once was to
finding a 5.25" drive attached to a DOS machine, but it would be
straightforward to get one put together.
