OT: Amiga WB Disks Needed Please

  • Follow

Hey folks, I recently purchased an Amiga 1500, and Ive replaced the
power supply with a US version, and also purchased a A2091 card. What
I need now is the Workbench disks. People on Ebay want way too much
for a simple set of disks to get the machine booted up, and my
understanding is that a PC can not make them either. Would someone
with a Amiga mind sending me a set? I have the 3.1 ROM. If you can,
please send me an email.

I have no AMIGA hardware.

All 4 disks are of version 2.04. The labels state that I have
WORKBENCH, INSTALL, EXTRAS, & FONTS, disks. These come with a
substantial manual "USING THE SYSTEM SOFTWARE" with a minimum of 930
pages. The manual is HEAVY.

I can also include
 2 AmiTCP/IP v4.2 disks
3 SUPER disks of user provided software
1 POWER XL DRIVE (hd install?) disk
 1 ADDRESS IT! disk
 1 PERSONAL TBC III disk
 1 AMIGA SHOPPER 2 disk

A CROSS DOS 5 (maybe for the PC) disk also is available

Yeah, but 2.04 sucks IMHO, though the manual is useful to learn the OS
basics. WB2.1 included pc0: dosdriver same as 3.x and a lot of the features
that were found in 3.x as well. I wouldn't bother with anything less than
WB3.1 these days especially if you already have the 3.1 KS ROM.

Not needed with WB2.1+

Yeah, anything would be useful right now though. Can't do anything
with it without a boot disk set. Ive googled around, and some say to
use a catweasel card (dont have one) or a serial connection to the
Amiga - which of course needs to be able to boot first.

Redrumloa can probably help you with the disks, he can be found here;

http://myworld.ebay.com.au/redrumloa/

Even if he doesn't have any listed, he may be able to supply you WB3.1 as he
trades in a lot of Amiga gear.
Won't hurt to send him an email, he's very helpful.
