Let's buy out the whole stock NOW and inflate the price even higher!

I take it you've never been to a CompUSA?
All belkin adapters start at $12, cables start at $20.
These aren't custom cables either... for instance, an audio
patch cord for your CDROM->soundcard is $22.
I went over to Circuit City instead, and got everything for more than half.

You're not in Boston, are you? I recall the CompUSA /Belkin ripoff.

Same 22.00 CDROM cables. CDROM audio cables sell for a dollar or two
anywhere else. Even the Belkin kind with the multiple connectors for
different soundcards sell for about 2-3 dollars. I won't go near a
CompUSA anymore. They're worse than Radio Shack.

Nowadays, usually, I'll buy from a reputable mail/web-order outfit
e.g. newegg.com. If I buy locally, I buy my PC stuff at either
Staples, Best-Buy, or K-Mart.

From a local shop I've got them for free... :)

Radio Shack does look less expensive compared to CompUSA.
Most of these cables can be made for a couple of dollars or less
by ordering the compnents from someplace such as digikey.
