I went over to Circuit City instead, and got everything for more than half.

You're not in Boston, are you? I recall the CompUSA /Belkin ripoff. Same 22.00 CDROM cables. CDROM audio cables sell for a dollar or two anywhere else. Even the Belkin kind with the multiple connectors for different soundcards sell for about 2-3 dollars. I won't go near a CompUSA anymore. They're worse than Radio Shack. Nowadays, usually, I'll buy from a reputable mail/web-order outfit e.g. newegg.com. If I buy locally, I buy my PC stuff at either Staples, Best-Buy, or K-Mart.
