RRNet Question.

I've just ordered a RRNet addon for the retro replay, and I was
wondering if anybody else has one, experiences, etc.

I think they are great. You can surf the web, use your C64 as a
webserver and transfer D64 files, use your PC as a fileserver, transfer
files to and from your C64 to PC, etc...

It's good, if you connect to the internet with it, you will have to
assign it an IP address in contiki (I don't think DHCP is supported)

What I would like to see is either a verion of Q-Link connect disk or a
C/G terminal for the Telenet BBSs that support it. I think it would
make it much more useful.

The latest version of Contiki (1.2) has exactly that, a program for calling
Telnet BBSes. Just run cgterm.prg .

And yes, it is very handy. It's also very fast! Makes me wonder why the
Contiki Telnet client is so painfully slow.

I got one recently as well. Contiki is interesting, but the novelty wears
off quickly. Warpcopy and codenet are occasionally useful.

Apart from that, there isn't much reason to get one.

Well, as I still program on the c64, I feel it (even though I ain't got
it yet) an invaluable tool for testing the code on a real c64. If I'm
programming it on the PC, I can only test it on an Emulation, and as
much as Emulation is pretty close, it isn't the real machine.
