SD interface for UserPort SPI interface
Just wanted to drop this link here in case I lost track of it.
$11.95 x1, DosOnChip part giving SPI interface and UART interface for
SD/MMC cards. NB, the datasheet mentions hand solderable part, but I
wouldn't want to try it with my clumsy paws. This would require a
UserPort connector and an SD socket ... I have to look more closely to
see if it needs any glue.

I saw that one a few months ago. It looked like a really good idea. The
price scared me away from it, but considering what it is I guess it's god
value.
They also sell, or at least sold that chip piggybacked on an SD socket n a
nice little prewired assembly.

That I did not know ... it would be even better. By late February, I
should be back into hardware C64 mode, after nearly a year of virtual
mode, so I'll see what trouble I can get into then.
