Speeding up slow loading routines
If we for example take a game like Eskimo Games:
Loading very very slow but it seems to have a custom loading routine, so
that I cannot make it faster with an Action Cartrige 6.0.
So the question is:
- Are there any cartridges that could make the game loading faster?
- Would Jiffy-DOS help there?

You may need to modify the game booter to load the game without its
own loading accelerator. I had to do something like this when I
ported a game to a CMD hard drive partition. Search the game's disk
directory for the module that is likely to be the loading accelerator.

Not if it uses a custom loader.

JiffyDOS only speeds up standard kernal loaders.
You can try different cracks to see if any of them have a decent
fastloader added:

Ok I see.

The question in this case is:
When a game loads very slow although I used the Turbo Link function of
my Action Cartridge 6.0 - does it mean that it uses it's own loading
routine or could it also be that it "resets" the loading mechanism every
time before loading anything?
Usually I have to do that "Turbo Link Trick" after the Intro screen when
some part of the game was already loaded, otherwise the speed will be
set to standard speed again.

Thanks. But this was a general question anyway. I thought I could speed
up everything with Jiffy Dos, but now I guess that might night be much
more help than the Turbo Link of the AC6.

Usually those are not really "fast/slow loaders" but part of a copy
protection. Most cracks remove all custom loaders so try your luck with
a warez release.
