NIC Configuration. I have the configuration file "/etc/sysconfig/network/scripts/eth0-
setup" with content
/usr/sbin/ethtool -s eth0 speed 100 duplex full autoneg off
But, when we have restarted the server, the duplex set to "half".
Any idea ?. Why it has set to "half" ?.
Is it the right configuration file for eth0 or do we have to make
changes in any other file ?
Many thanks in advance
Configuring A# It seems I've not got A# configured properly yet. When I try to use

c:\mgnat\include is indeed where mssyst.ads is to be found, so what am
For what it's worth, I'm using AdaGIDE.

Configuration I'm a Mechanical engineering major and it is my first time taking

I don't really understand the question.
"Configuration" is a specific term in Solidworks (and most other 3D apps)
Daemon to monitor NIC activity and activate "spare" NIC Hi,
I'm trying to write a daemon for a HP-UX 11i system to do the
* Monitor a particular NIC for activity,
* If the NIC fails, try to reactivate,
* If the NIC cannot be activated, activate a spare NIC.
I know that this functionality can be obtained by purchasing hp
autoport aggregation but we've decided to go down this route. I've
found a good document on how to write a daemon at:
I'm also trying to understand a utility available for linux (ethtool)
for some inspiration.
Configurations in SWviewer I have an assembly with many configurations.
How do I display the different configurations in the SolidWorks Viewer?
Right now it only shows the last one active when saved.
Use e-drawings instead

Configuring SNMP Hi All,
Can someone tell me how to configure SNMP on a cisco router. A
colleague of mine requires this to monitor SNMP.
Looking at the configuration that Cisco configure maker gave me is see
no ip http server
snmp-server community public RO
no snmp-server location
no snmp-server contact
Can i simply enable SNMP by typing:
snmp-server location (Do i need to specify a location?)
snmp-server contact (Do i need to specify a contact?)
and then configuring the community public settings.
Any help or pointers would be great.

scsi configuration I am building a SQL server and need some help on the configuration.
The restraint is the budget and it might have me drop down to u160.
I want to have:
Raid 1: OS
Raid 0+1: Database w/ 4 drives
Raid 1: Transaction Logs
Could I get away with having this configuration on a 2 channel
controller? Adaptec has the 39320A-R which sells for around $300 and
would fill the void here. Is this a good choice?
The cost will be in the drives as I will need 8 but the flip side is
that I hardly need any storage as this will be a dedicated server and
the databases are small. Total is under 4GB and I would...
Design Configuration Hi,
I have created three buffers components (bufferA, bufferB, bufferC)of
varying lengths and instantiate bufferA inside MyEntity. Now, I want
to create another instance of MyEntity but use bufferB instead of
Is there a way that I can use some configuration script in the VHDL
file to let it know which buffer to instantiate? (FYI - I am using
ModelSim 5.7f for simulation and QuartusII for synthesis and P&R and
would like the configuration to be compatible with both these).
I know the easiest way is just to create three separate entities but
I'm trying to learn more here :-)...
w32time configuration Hi Everybody,
I am trying to time sync two windows 2003 server machines using w32time
service by configuring one machine as time server and the other as time
client. But the machines are not time synchronised even after
restarting the services in both the machines. (I set the type flag in
the server and the client respectively as Nt5Ds and NTP)
The commands 'net time /querysntp' and 'net time /setsntp:<IPaddof
serv>' runs successfully in the client. But the command 'net time
\\<IPaddofserv> /setsntp' returns the error access is denied and the
Complex Configurations I admit to being guilty of learning the hard way many times, and this
time I learned not to do derived configurations of the default
configuration in complex work.
When I convert a plastic part into a cavity, the easy part is getting
the whole part with shrink removed from a cavity block entirely
encompassing the part.
I typically add an "Ejector Side" configuration & then
derived-configurations for that which contain the outer cavity block,
then inner sleeves and pins as I remove material. I do the same with
the "Sprue Side" configuration.
The last time I did a pai...
In-system configuration Hi All,
I would like to use an FPGA to reconfigure another FPGA by loading the
new configuration into the other FPGA's EPC configuration device via
JTAG. Is this possible? If so, how would I go about doing this?
I'm do just that with Altera's FPGAs
Do you have any ideas on how to do this?
I am also using Altera parts...I am using a Stratix.
A0 Plotters Hi, I'm soon going to have to replace my aging Novajet 2 plotter, what
A0 plotters are everyone currently using, what's good/bad out there at
Although I can't recommend any specific plotter, I do have a suggestion. We
recently looked at purchasing a new one (unfortunately our pen plotter
resurected itsself, so one was not acquired). I found out through a repair
shop that HP ( and others ) typically use two different print heads in their
designs. One for the el-cheapo plotter, and one for their mid/high range
ones. The difference being the amount...
Policer configuration Hello,
A few days ago I posted a message about setting up the policer on a
24-ported Catalyst 3750 Switch using CLI. Unfortunately, I didn't get
any (useful) replies - perhaps because my question was too inaccurate.
I'll try again:
The goal is to restrict all ingress traffic on a certain port, <p>, to
<r> bps with a level of <l> bytes, dropping traffic if <r> is exceeded.
I did the following using the CLI:
police <r> <l> exceed-action drop
Nested Configurations I have come across configurations - nested 3 deep in an assembly and
can only get each configuration to resolve to the current
configuration....(I have 63 configurations) and the only way I have
found to get them resolved is to open each configuration (3 deep) with
the main assembly open and update one at a time, to the current
configuration. Any ideas on resolving this?
A few questions:
1. Are these assembly configurations or part configurations?
2. Do you mean derived configurations?
3. If you mean part configurations, are you using several
configurations of the same part in the same leve...

Configuring ACLs What is the most efficient method to configure ACLs fast? Are there any
figures relating to how long it takes to configure an ACL rule, say on
(looking for configuration performance figures rather than throughput
once ACLs have been installed)
I'm not aware of any performance figures on the 6500s, but based on
recent experience I would recommend using Named ACLs instead of
numbered. According to the release notes, numbered ACLs require the
merge algorithm to run every time an ACL is modified, whereas with
Named it processes the merge algorithm ...

How to configure nat? Hello,
I have the following problem.
I have a main Server with the IP 192.168.1.1. The server connects to
different sites using ISDN. Now one site has the same LAN IP network as
mine. How do I have to configure the RemoteRouter to nat my address to
e.g. 172.17.1.1 and if someone answers from the remote location to
172.17.1.1 translate back to 192.168.1.1.
I thought ip nat inside will do the trick - but I can't get it working
I configured on the remote router
ip nat inside source static 192.168.1.1 172.17.1.1
on the bri interface I configured ip nat inside. The cisco
documentation states ...
