HP EVA enclosure alarm disable (using CommandView 8.0)
Hi,
am I the only one to see this effect?:
When viewing the enclosure status of the EVA 6000 with CommandView 8.0, it
displays the "Alarm" as "disabled". We don't want that, so I select "enabled"
and then "Save changes". Then the settingis displayed as enabled. However
after a short while the setting is "disabled" again. When verifying the
setting with the EMU's display, it says "Au" is "on" (Audible alarm
enabled). Is it a bug in CommandView 8.0.2?
I mainly use Firefox, but Internet Explorer 7 sems to produce the same
results.
Regards,
Ulrich

Ulrich,
You are not the only one seeing this effect. I get exactly the same
happening with CV8.0.2 and an EVA6000.
I also have an EVA4400. On that one, the disk enclosures do not have an
option for Audible Alarm.
This makes me suspect that it is something that is being depreciated.
Cheers,
Kilgaard.
